Frequently Asked Questions / (FAQs)
The current license F2 Memories has with the Military Departments is a Hobbyist License. Unfortunately, it only allows F2 Memories to sell company made products and not sell any additional machined products such as picture frames or mats. We would be happy to assist you to ensure your custom-crafted prints are well captured in an appropriate frame with our provided suggestions.
Why can’t I order a picture frame and picture mat from Indelible Memories?
1
Do you have any recommendation for mat sizes and picture frames?
2
The standard rule of thumb is the mat opening should be a .5 inch smaller (length and width) than the print ordered. So, if the Print is 11x17 the mat should have a 10.5-inch x 16.5-inch opening.
At minimum when making the purchase ensure the picture frame supports the print and mat size, and often when purchasing a standard picture frame, you will see details describing the picture frame supports a “matted to open” certain print size (e.g., a 15x21 picture frame could support an 11-inch x 17-inch print size with matted opening.)
Custom Picture frames and mats can be costly; there are many crafts stores for picture frames and online stores for mats where you can make purchases to meet your needs.
Can I use my own unit logos for the Paper Shadowbox or other products?
3
Yes - If you have specific unit logos you would like to use when making the order upload the logos to the order form and F2 memories will use them. (Please ensure All images reflect the dignity of the service and are consistent with official service heraldry).
Why do I have to attest, to the best of my knowledge, all the ranks, commands served, ribbons, medals, and badges on the print are correct?
4
To honor and respect the service of our military members, F2 Memories follows the guidelines of the Stolen Valor Act of 2013. This helps ensure that every order is handled with integrity in support of the Act.
How do I upload the recipient’s information to the order form?
5
Recipient Information is colllected through two forms to craft the customized prints. After selecting a product and adding it to the cart, the customer will use the 1st form which appears to provide order details (purchaser and recipient information). The 2nd form, is just below the blue “Add to Cart” button, (scroll down to see the “QR Add-on Media Upload Form”) and it is used to upload pictures and or video for the order.
Can I get a copy of the video which resides on the QR code?
6
Once the QR Code memories video is created it will be posted on a one drive folder which will be shared with the customer and available to download up to 30 days. At which time on the 31st day, the file will be deleted and removed.
Can I customize parts of my order for example if I want a smaller size print, can I change it?
7
Yes, when you place your order there is a comments block – feel free to make a request and
F2 Memories will work to ensure we satisfy your requirement(s). If we are unable to satisfy your request, we will let you know and work with you to modify the requirement(s) or cancel the order in compliance with the F2 Memories cancellation policy.
Why do we need to use royalty-free music when pairing music with photos or videos?
8
Royalty-free music allows us to legally pair music with your photos and videos while keeping production affordable. Purchasing a song from services like iTunes only grants permission for personal listening—it does not include the rights required to synchronize that music with video or distribute it publicly. Royalty-free licensing ensures your project can be shared without copyright restrictions or legal issues.
